The Light Archive was founded by Shan He — artist, therapeutic photography practitioner, and PhD researcher in empirical aesthetics and emotional experience. The platform operates as both a curatorial space and a living research archive, exploring how photography shapes and reprocesses emotional experience over time. Research findings on therapeutic photography have been published in Art & Perception (Q1).
A living collection of visual stories that speak where words fall short. From the abstract to the intimate, each image becomes part of a growing archive of emotional truths — seen, felt, and remembered.
We welcome artists, researchers, and anyone who has been changed by making or witnessing images.
This is not a space for technical perfection. It's a space for presence, perception, and inner seeing.
